Visual Exercises To Make Your Eyes Better

Do you find yourself being let down by your eyesight on a regular basis? Are you afraid that you would be lost without your corrective lenses? Are you thinking about undergoing expensive eye surgery just to have perfect 20/20 vision?

Most people who wear glasses would likely be saying ‘yes’ to at least one of the above. If you are among these people, then allow me to tell you this: You can learn different eye exercises to improve eyesight the natural way, without the help of your contacts, eyeglasses, or any type of painful and expensive eye surgery. I totally understand if you think that it’s hard to believe you will at some point be able to see perfectly clearly without surgery and without any visual aids, but I reassure you that this has happened to many thousands of people already and it can also happen to you, thanks to the Bates Method.

Firstly what needs to happen is you need to put your glasses away. Have you ever wondered why you need to keep on getting lenses with higher grades every time you visit your optometrist, when in fact your eyesight should be improving through time.

Since your eyes come to rely on your contacts/glasses, they - in a way - become lazy and their functioning deteriorates even further over time - as a direct result of wearing glasses. Your eyes simply aren’t designed naturally, to be assisted throughout the day by a set of lenses that rest in front of them. Of course, contact lenses and glasses DO improve your eyesight in the immediate sense, but as time goes by, you become dependent on them, causing your eyes to become accustomed to the bad habits that have developed because of your eyeglasses. Instead of your eyes healing, they end up getting worse than ever.

The inability to achieve clear focus with the eyes can be pinned down to stress and strain of the eye musculature. Stress relieving techniques, including natural eye exercises to improve eyesight, can be used in lieu of your spectacles.

Palming

One of the more well-known eye exercises used to improve your eyesight is palming. With palming, the only thing you need is your palms. You will use your palms to aid in the relaxation and destressing process of your eyes.

Even with your eyes closed or when you are not awake, your eyeballs are still moving around. As long as you are alive, your eyes will always be moving whether you ar sleeping or palming. The idea therefore, is to relax them so their movement is as slow as possible for a short period of time. You can do this in just twenty minutes.

The first thing that you need to do is to free your mind of unnecessary thoughts. Since the eye is so intricately related to the brain, lots of thoughts in your brain mean lots of movements of the eyes. To aid you with this, you may consider playing some soothing music.

With the purpose of shutting off all light to your eyes, cover both your eyes with your hands. Feel your eye-muscles relax while you maintain this position. Feel the muscles of your head relax all the way down to your toes. Initially your eyes may not be able to see a perfect shade of black. As you improve in your ability to relax, this blackness will deepen. As you learn to relax more and more over time, you wll be able to see darker and darker shades of black.
