Paolo Salvatore

Mr. Paolo Salvatore holds a degree of Electronic Engineering from the University “La Sapienza” (Rome-Italy) and has more than 11 years of experiences in international RTD projects and technology transfer actions. In 1997 he started his activities of technology transfer, focused on planning and developing international innovation projects, especially targeted to SMEs. In November 2001, Mr. Salvatore started his activity with CIAOTECH Srl (member of PNO Group), as Managing Director.
Some of his relevant experiences are: management and coordination of R&D projects as the European project “KNOW-IT†aimed to the development of technology transfer methodology, “OSMOSIS†to foster the involvement of SMEs in the security technology supply chain, facilitating the collaboration between SMEs and the key stakeholders, and the Italian project INTECH aimed at defining innovative solution to support enterprises in TT (using TRIZ and QFD). In addition, Mr. Salvatore has coordinated the creation of network of researchers in the IT sector between USA and Europe, creation of network of LAM and EU organisations in the field of renewable energy technologies, management of technology transfer actions between US and EU industries operating in ITC sector.
Mr. Salvatore is also the project coordinator of “SMARTâ€, a Support Action co-funded by the FP7 of the European Commission with the aim to provide services to support SMEs participation in RTD research projects under the EC Transport Work-Programme.
