DS08 Forum

DS08 was the second International Conference on Energy Solutions for Transport on September 18th and 19th 2008, at the Hilton in Reykjavik Nordica, Iceland. DS08 focused on the future of electric vehicles, with topics ranging from CO2 Free Power and Next Generation Utilities to Automotive Batteries, Plug-in Technology & New Business Models. Speakers included A123 Systems, Toyota Europe, Ford Motor Company, Rocky Mountain Institute, Dong Energy, New York City and Vattenfall, as well as the Director of the documentary film Who Killed The Electric Car? DS07 Forum

DS07 was the first Annual Conference on Renewable Energy for Vehicles on September 17th and 18th 2007 in Reykjavik Nordica, Iceland. DS07 saw the opening of the first ethanol fuel station in Iceland and a Toyota Prius hybrid converted to the first plug-in hybrid in the Nordic countries. Visit the DS07 website.

This year's forum, like those prior, was a major success with over 200 attendees from 25 countries and a serious line up of speakers from 9 countries converging in Reykjavík, Iceland. Iceland is unique in the sense that the country's usage of energy is already 80% sustainable.
